HealthKit Heart Rate Bug?

This app saves only one Hear a Rate datapoint for an entire workout. iOS, in contrast, saves hundreds/thousands of data points - often multiple times a minute - for steps and distance activity. Itd be great to see how ones HR changes over the course of a workout, so please fix to output more granular data to HealthKit.

Great potential

This could be a great app except for one thing. It doesnt connect unless you fidget and play and fool around with everything until finally it works. The only thing that Ive been able to do successfully is to go into the Bluetooth settings and forget the heart rate monitor and then reconnect. For some reason this is the only way I can get this app and my heart rate monitor to connect. With my Strava app my heart rate monitor connects instantly. At first I thought maybe I had a conflict so I turned Strava off but it still wouldnt connect. After I forgot the hrm and then reconnected everything seems to work. At least until the next time I use it. Then we start again. Update. This app refuses to connect properly to my Bluetooth heart rate monitor. Ive now downgraded it from four stars to three stars to one star.

Would you please make it work?

Downloaded this app to link Polar Bluetooth HRM and pebble watch. It is ok when it works, but it is not consistent. Since the Jan 14 Pebble upgrade, Im having problems getting app to register hear rate. Before then this function worked fine. My problems have been more with the companion app for the iPhone (using a 6, all software up to date). Problems include... Shows heart rate but doesnt track calories during workout (particularly at higher HR activities, ie 1h on Precor AMT ... HRM connection with Precor stable so this is a Heartbeats fail). Walking or lifting on weight floor seems fine. Spontaneously resets, so I lose part of workout if I havent glimpsed at it during progress. No history function. (This would make the restarts - either spontaneous or bc of a freeze more tolerable). If it exists please advise where to find. No high / lo / in zone function. Please add. See any Polar watch for ideas. Interop with UP software would be great as HealthKit is soo bleeping useless Ive quit trying. That doesnt even work with manual entry. Purportedly connects with Equinox health club app, but it only registers snippets of workout. Candidly, may be an Equinox issue but I cant be bothered as UP seems to be meeting the most of my needs for the apps out there. You have the opportunity to really take these wearables forward! Please do so. Would love to become a huge fan.

Totally Worthless

I bought this in spite of the other reviews because the developer specifically said it was tested with the Polar H7, which is what I have. This app is totally worthless. You have to really be play with your iOS settings to get it to see the Pebble and the heart rate monitor at the same time, then it drops the heart rate monitor with no warming after a couple of minutes. Please dont make the mistake I did and give this developer another penny. Just say no to worthless software.

Worthless

Not working.....waste of money

Heartbeats does not work with HRM

Not able to get heartbeats application to work

Terrible

I was really excited to try this out after getting my Pebble. Despite what the other reviews said, I dropped $2.99 on the app. Everyone else speaks true- the app does not hold a Bluetooth connection, it would not speak the audible queues, you cannot turn off the GPS, it just doesnt work. What a waste of $3.

Awful

Worst money Ive ever spent on an app. Wont sync and very unreliable.

Works like a charm

I use it every workout. It pairs automatically with my Polar chest strap heart monitor and gives me a readable, uncluttered, color coded accurate heart rate. I dont give it a 5 because it seems to have a bug where it gives me voice feedback on an endless walk that I cant turn off.

Doesnt work

Stop...dont waste $3 on this. Not too pleased with Pebble or some of these Apps. Attention Developers: Make Apps that really work.

Nice app when it works

I was able to use the app successfully the first time I installed it. It hasnt worked since. Ive tried power cycling the devices (iPhone 6, Pebble Classic watch, Scoche Rythm+ HRM) to no avail. I have also tried reinstalling the Heartbeats app and the issue persists. The iOS Health app reads my HRM successfully, but Heartbeats app does not any longer. I dont believe anything has changed (no updates). Not sure what the problem is, but it would be nice to have a fix because it USA nice app when it works.

Junk

No heartbeats here. Waste of money
